Alta Aware -1652: insufficient sanitisation in ssh server (csshd)

Overview
A vulnerability has been discovered in csshd
(a custom ssh
server implementation in Golang), due to insufficient sanitisation of arguments passed to the scp
command. This vulnerability could lead to, among others threats, remote code execution.
Affected Products
- Ava Cameras:
- All Stable upgrade Channel versions before 6.9.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions before 6.9.3.
Unaffected Products
- Alta Video: all versions.
- Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras:
- All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 6.9.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 6.9.3.
- Alta Video Cloud: all versions.
Resolution
This issue has been fixed in Ava Camera Beta upgrade channel version 6.9.3 and Stable upgrade channel version 6.9.5.
It is highly recommended that all Ava Camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface for Ava managed cameras and the Ava Camera User Interface for unmanaged Ava cameras.
